Seasonal Transitions

The transition from fall to winter.  For me, it means a lot of mixing of summer and winter textures and colors.  It means hanging onto every last bit of color and brightness that I can muster up.  It means, mixing tights/socks and sandals, wool sweaters and cotton skirts or vice-versa.

I particularly like mixing the socks and sandals thing.  I expanded it to tights and shooties.  I feel like I am cheating winter a bit by sneaking in my sandals so late in the season.  Tee-hee.

And we have already gotten a dusting of snow. It's a long season so if I can delay it a bit, hooray for me!

Oh, and check out the other posts for Visible Monday!

  10. I wouldn't have thought chartreuse and blue work together but there they are and they do.

I love tights and sandals together, and the idea of cheating winter.

I'm jealous of your snow :).

  15. Ahhh, a girl after my own heart. I really hate to let go of my open toed shoes and flip flops. I've tried the sock thing a couple of times too...because I've seen it's in style. I don't think my husband "gets it" though. haha
    Love your blog, Paula.

  18. Good girl! mixing it all - i have been doing the same for years, but more now, it makes an outfit less depressing and you are not lost in the sea of black and neutrals you see all winter! About the lense i want, i know you can have the same effect with Photoshop, but you should see the sharpness with the lense, amazing - it costs about 200 for my camera, will save or maybe Mr. D will give it to me for X-mas

  20. You are way too clever ... squeezing out as much wear from your spring/summer clothes when the cold strikes. You look super warm and I am squirming with delight at all the wonderful colours you're sneaking in! xo
