This is the start of my day. I'm coming outside to take my outfit-of-the-day photos before I go to work. This is my front door and this porch can be a nice warm place to take photos in the cooler weather.

Having a lot of fun with Photoshop though! I used this "copper" effect for the background in this picture. The program is a bit tough to learn, and although I have used it in the past, I am finding I have to re-learn it all over again. I am looking forward to sharing some cool photos with you!
Oh, and don't you love the mix of the glen plaid wool with this gold lame skirt? It's a real mash-up of colors and textures.
Do you take your pictures in the same place every day? Do you keep taking pictures until you get the "right shot"?
I really like the glen plaid + fuchsia top combo. They balance each other really nicely. And fun effects with the Photoshop!
ReplyDeletePaula, I love this outfit on you....it's such a unique but striking combination! I only take a few pictures and if they don't turn out, I just don't worry about it! Hugs~ ~Serene
ReplyDeleteI love these special effects too, Paula. And I really love the "mash-up" of textures and tones - so chic.
ReplyDeleteThat copper background is tres cool as is your outfit. Love the color of your top. You hit all of Stacy & Clintons rules in this outfit. Color, Texture, Pattern. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteYour photos always impress me. Beautiful colors - love your 'mash-up.'
ReplyDeleteHi Paula, i love your copper effect! i have photoshop but i do not know how to use it, i find it complicated, i will to learn soon, would love to play more with my pics.
ReplyDeleteI take a lot of pictures, it drives me insane sometimes;)
I love your mix very clever and very nice!
Ariane
Love that first picture of you peeking out of the door!
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the shimmer on your skirt, too!
Deeply loving this outfit, one of the best you've ever shown! And you look so glorious in your sequins, which is included my post today! I really do not like most pictures of myself and make my husband keep shooting until I can find the one that is the least objectionable. XO, Jill
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty today! I agree with Pseu's comment, the jacket and top are perfect together.
ReplyDeleteThat's neat you're playing with photoshop, I keep meaning to do the same thing with my own outfit photos. Maybe next time :).
I love the color/texture mix… and that cute door!
ReplyDeleteYou are way ahead of me. I am going to go purchase a tripod tomorrow and hopefully experiment taking pictures and getting them on my blog. I want them to look good and know nothing about Photoshop, Gimp, Piknik, etc. so have a lot to learn. How did you start? Did you take any classes or have a friend teach you?
ReplyDeleteDeja Pseu~I like the juxtaposition of the conservative with the funky.
ReplyDeleteSerene~Me too--although I should have some more patience..
Patti~mixing it up is fun! I know you do this too~
Debbi~Love Stacy and clinton--and those are design principles they employ.
Judith~Really? Thanks b/c I am critical of my photos..
Ariane~I remmeber you saying that you may take as many as 50 pics? I have been doing the photoshop tutorials on line--they are a BIG help.
Vanessa~I like the shiny thing lately.
Jill~lol--I knnow, I really will neverget used to looking at pics of myself!
Susan~Aw thanks Susan! I know you have done soe stuff with photoshop--
Lawyerdoll~It used to be purple--the fornt door.
Fabrizia~I will check it out--thanks!
angela~I have a graphic design background, so the editing stuff I am familiar with. I still use the easier editinng programs like picassa because Photoshop is a bitch to learn. There are tutorials onn line that are good. I just took a photography class. any help is a good idea!
