Almost a classic trench--'cept its teal. Oh, and the location? Some bulldozer museum.... |
I know I hear the beat of a different drummer. It's nothing new--I've always strove to be different. From time to time I am reminded of this, as I was this week when I read Grit and Glamour's post. So many people disliked the January issue of Lucky Mag. I loved it.
I had to take a step back. Is my style really that crazy? Yeah, crazy is a part of me, but not all of my style. For example, I categorize my bathing suit designs (notebooks full of sketches and a closet full of prototypes) into three groups: crazy, classic and couture. I guess I am all of these.
With all of this in mind, I decided to post my "classic" looks. Course, classic looks for me have a bit of a twist--check out more of the looks under my "trend" page~

You look wonderful in that beautiful blue, Paula!! Don't try to be what others want...be creative, fun you!! It is perfectly fine to march to a different drummer...if we were all the same, wouldn't life be boring?? Paula-style is what you should strive for any way!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous color on that trench, and what a fun and unusual backdrop!
ReplyDeleteyup I had to endure a few hours at the backhoe museum...lol
DeleteI had to go look at the Lucky article, and yes, I see how you can pull off that fun, funky and colorful look. You have the eye, my friend, to make it happen. I remember our shopping trip together, when we each chose fancy dresses and you went for the color and the cool shapes! thanks for linking up your fab self to Visible Monday xoxoxoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks patti! Love that I found friends that can appreciate our own different sense of styles! hugs~
DeleteWhat a pretty color trench!!
ReplyDeleteYou should embrace your uniqueness. I admire people who hear the beat of a different drum.
I used to feel weird being weird...but I am used to it now!
DeleteI love that you are master of your own style. Your trench is pure you...vibrant. It is so much better than the plain khaki ones.
ReplyDeleteThats my feeling Debbi; why make a dull, rainy day duller?
DeleteOoooo, I'm jealous! That's just about my favorite color, and I wish I had more colorful coats. Lucky you! And the color looks great against rust, too.
ReplyDeleteVal, and I think this color looks good on almost everyone--if they dare!
DeleteEuh! What am I? Must be really, really over the top! Ha! Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteYou know what i don' t care and you shouldn't care Paula, life is too short to worry about what people think
Different is good, i always strived to be different and i love it!
Btw, i loved january issue of Lucky!
Ariane xxxx
I'm soooo glad someone else like the issue! I sorta thought you would....hugs!
DeleteLove this color trench! It is beautiful on you and love your background! The opposite of hearing your own beat it what my husband refers to as "Moths to the flame." and who wants to be that?
ReplyDeleteI like that..moths to the flame.lol
DeleteI think you should keep both your style preferences. You know, when you want to rotate back and forth between "crazy" and more refined. Our personalities are multi-faceted and so our wardrobes should be too. I've tried narrowing down my closet to reflect one taste but I'm never satisfied. I need options! Now I need to go get that magazine too.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way joni! I am so many people and have so many moods when dressing really I cant keep it to only three!
DeleteLove that bright blue trench coat. Where did you find it? Personally I like your style. I don't think you're too wild at all.
ReplyDeletethanks Heather!
DeleteMy colored trench was a steal at Marshall's--and it has lycra so it stretches!
Hi Paula,
ReplyDeleteI love style that's a little off the beaten path. Style is supposed to be an expression of the person wearing it. Also, I've nominated your blog for what's called a Liebster award. It's meant to help new/smaller blogs with promotion and networking with other bloggers. If you want to participate, this post has all of the details:

You look fabulous in the bright blue trench!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo of you is the white top with polka dot shoes and black strappy sandals leaning against the brick wall. A COVER PHOTO for sure!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, love, love the blue trench. I also love your uniqueness, keep it up!
ReplyDeletethanks all for your comments--Love all your support of my sometimes crazy style :~)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great trenchcoat in a fabulous color!
ReplyDeleteThe color of the trench is as radiant as your smile. And a bulldozer museum? Great background!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that trench coat. You look gorgeous and adventurous.
ReplyDeleteClassic, yes. In blue? Even better. How delicate you look in front of all the heavy equipment. Never "crazy" though.
ReplyDeleteI love "delicate"; reminds me of Marilyn Monroe--a line from a movie ❤
DeleteLove that blue trench coat. That blue shade is gorgeous with you blonde hair. I loved the Lucky issue also.
