Graphic Tees

I don't have too many graphic tees; for some reason they always look, er..well, cheap on me.  I don't know what it is, but all those cute little artistic sparkly tees at J Crew (and others) just don't look right on me.  Maybe they are just too young.  But I have found some that do--this one is from Metropolitan Museum of Art collection of tees--and they are fun and artistic and I can pull it off!  Its a great way to put that funk in an otherwise fairly serious outfit for work.

I'm going to try to go outside and take pictures for as long as I can, but as you can see, today I went outside and it was TOO COLD!!! I had to go back inside and get my hat and gloves!!!  I look like I'm ready to join the French Resistance--but, I still love a beret!

How do you feel about the graphic tees?

  1. I've never tried a tee like this. Most of mine are solid colored, but you are rocking that beret. I have one and think it doesn't quite fit my self-concept...

  2. While I'm not a fan of t-shirts, I think this one is not a typical "T". Very cute! And I love those JCrew tees with al the "stuff" on them, but when I put it on, I just don't feel like me.....I feel like a goober. You're inspiring me to ramp up my collection of tights! ~Serene

  3. This is a perfect graphic T because it is not too much. Many of the ones I have purchased I regretted later. I also want to ramp up my tights...but it will have be when I have a green light for shopping at my house. This look works from beret to tights!

  4. I adore this shirt on you, but I don't like crew neck t-shirts on me, so I don't wear many silkscreen-type shirts. A little bling on a shirt, can work for me, but I sometimes feel that anything with too many crystals and stuff is aging.

  5. Terri~I have to know; what is your self concept?
Serene~still feels the same way about the tees; something is not quite right when we put them on.
Thanks over 50~and its sort of hard to recreate "tights" like you could shop your closet--if you know what I mean....can't make tights!
Still~crew necks are difficult for me also, as is turtlenecks, but under a jacket is a little easier. I agree-to much stuff on a shirt--for some reason now--AGES!
