Here is the first try at styling. Now mind you, I am not a cowboy boot fan, but I do have another pair that I ended up wearing a lot more than I expected. These have that 60's go-go boot look, and although that was on the runways a few years ago, I wasn't sure how it would translate in real life.
The verdict? I'm not wild, crazy in love with it, but it works well enough. I am going to try it with a skirt next time and see how that goes.
Are you a cowboy boot fan?
Very cute look. I don't wear cowboy boots, but I'm not opposed to it either. I think it would be fun to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI adore the scarf. The boots photograph a bit more like go-go boots, than cowboy boots, but maybe less so in person. I think trying them with a skirt would be a good choice. And maybe it's just that the weather has turned so fall-like. Maybe the boots are more spring/summer.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely a cowboy boot fan! I lived in Montana for 15 years and never owned a pair, then I met my husband, who has worn nothing else his entire adult life, and he treated me to a fine pair. They have proven to be my most comfortable shoes. I took to wearing them on campus several years ago and many people asked why...teachers stand on their feet hours a day and i could honestly tell them, they were my most comfy shoes.
ReplyDeleteI have very clear go-go boot memories, so you should definitely try these with a skirt.
I love the scarf! I think I like it all, I would probably use a different top. You definitely wear it well though!
ReplyDeleteI always limit myself because I make the shoes as dark as the pants, this looks mod!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Trudy!
ReplyDeleteStill~I was thinking they may be better in the spring also. The shape is definatly cowboy-which dosen't show up so much in the pics.
Terri~I agree; they are very comfortable! Surprisingly so, that's why I got them actually.
Elegant~these are jeggings so I was limited. What would you have chosen, I am curious? You have great style~
Lisa~That is a very 80's style, and very successful--it gives a good clean line. I'll do both; same color and different.
