I don't wear jeans much. What's that you say? Tis true; I am not a big jeans fan. But I have gotten to love denim leggings or "jeggings" as they say. So this week, for something completely different, I have decided to wear jeans (jeggings) all week. Well, almost all week anyway.
MY video shows 2 jean outfits; one is straight leggings tucked into brown boots and the other is my new flared jeans.
You'll note in the video in the first look, I'm gesturing that the tunic would look better a little shorter. Do you agree? On the second look, my flares, my husband even commented on them! (course it was more of a flashback with him--they reminded him of when I was 17)
Hmmm, Paula, so where are the others for a week? Well, things never go according to plan do they? It seemed as though lots if things didn't seem to go quite right this week in the blogger world. Must have been in the stars... And as evidence of this, here is a real crappy pic of more jeans. (too late in the day, too dark, too busy to be able to take earlier shots, etc, etc, etc.)
I think the vacuum in the background is a nice touch, don't you??? |
Small details really. In the big picture, all is good.
Linking up with my friends over at Visible Monday!
xoxo
In the big picture - you're a star! Love the jeggings, and now I have a song in my head. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday, xo.
ReplyDeletelol Patti Worm song....lol
DeleteYou rock the denim jeggings, Paula! I think I would live in jeans if I could!! have a great week!
ReplyDeleteReally Pam? I don't find regular jeans comfortable at all--but I know many people do. By the time I get them to look good, they are uncomfortable!
DeleteHi Paula! Last week of work for me and then off for 10 glorious days!
ReplyDeleteLove you in jeggings but what I like most are the videos, I should get myself a stand for my I-Phone, I must, I must! have so many goofy ideas!
All is well with me- Got back my spunk - tks again, will write soon!
Did you get the friggin snow? we got about 20 cm here, what a friggin nightmare I tell you!
Arianexo
yes we got the snow too--now its like chunks of ice! Stuff one breaks their hip on.....ugh.
DeleteHa, love your video! The Christmas theme is really fun. I wear jeans when I'm feeling bad, in the cool sense. All your combos look good. I especially like your bell bottoms. I wore a pair today too. And great sketches, Paula. Thanks for that.
ReplyDeleteOMG melanie--what a great compliment coming from another artist! Thanks so much!
DeleteLove the bells.....
I so enjoy this snippets you put together Paula. You are teaching me to have fun with my wardrobe and to stop trying to fit a mold. I am not 50 yet...two more years, but I have found myself in a rut of large proportions. This year, I am on a quest to find my style and enjoy it fully! I liked every single outfit you put together
ReplyDelete:D) blessed day to you! m.b.
I'm so glad! Fashion should be fun. And really I started this blog because I saw so many of my friends in a RUT too. I hope I can be an inspiration to you! xoxo
DeleteI'm not a jeans fan either, but do have one pair of jeggings. Great outfit!
ReplyDeleteI always tell ladies who don't like jeans they haven't found the perfect pair yet. There are so many different styles available nowadays it's worth trying a few on to see if you like any of them. I like you in the flared jeans best, but that's just me. You look terrific in the jeggings, too ;-)

Pretty Paula as always! I wear my skinnies to death, but I don't really wear them as often as I imagine. I actually looked back over my week, and I only wore them twice. No matter what you wear, you look great, and this is no exception. Love the sketches ... you inspire, always.
ReplyDeleteJan, that's usually how often I wear my skinnies too--maybe once or twice and usually not to work. They are all over pinterest and instagram--I mean evreywhere!
DeleteWell, I had literally just finished commenting on Spy Girl that I had no parties to go to, no dressing up this Christmas, and I wrote Tis the season for jeans. Then your post came up next in Bloglovin with that title Jeans at Christmastime! Maybe this is the zeitgeist for Christmas this year. Or maybe not, but it's easy to dress up jeans with a cool tunic, like yours. And your flare jeans are pretty special on their own! A little red top and you'd have a party goin' on!
ReplyDeleteVal, I thought of that too after I did this jeans at work thing, I thought maybe a better idea would have been to do "dress up the jeans for xmas look". I'll hand that over to you, Val!
DeleteI liked the flared jeans the most. I pretty much only wear jeans. In fact I don't even own a pair of dress pants. LOL

I wear jeans all the time but rarely jeggings -- strangely enough I've worn my one pair of those the past week.
ReplyDeleteI wear jeans or jeggings quite a bit, and I think I'll always have a soft spot for flared jeans, even if they aren't quite as popular right now!
ReplyDeleteI wear jeans almost everyday, and I thought that both styles looked fabulous! I am the self-proclaimed tunic queen...and I think that your tunic length was perfect! A great look, with extra warmth for winter. And what fun it was to watch your Christmas video!
ReplyDeleteOh Paula, the video is so much fun! It just adds a whole new dimension to blogging! The flared jeans look fabulous on you by the way. You've got those lovely long legs and flared jeans look great on your silhouette.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun video Paula!! I wished I knew how to do things like that so it adds a bit of variety. I love the flare jeans - they are just so fun. I used to hate wearing jeans but now on the weekends, I am in them all the time from boyfriend to skinnies to jeggings.

You look fabulous in jeans, even though you don't wear them frequently. I always appreciate your videos and admire the skills that you have developed. Brava!
