Genuine Blog Posts

Do you "GET READY" for photographs for blog posts?  Hmmm.  I guess you can tell from my photos, I don't "get ready"!  My post are totally WYSIWYG!  Yup, maybe a little wrinkled, (THE CLOTHING!!!!) maybe a little tired, but this is ME.  I guess I sort-a feel it's important to show how I REALLY look on a daily basis.  Like a snapshot of people at the mall~

I DO dress everyday tho.  I'm one of those people that will dress to go to the mailbox. Most of my shots are what I wear to work but maybe I'll post some hanging around shots in the future.

For me, dressing is the best part of the day!

  1. Ooh, I love the colors in that top. You look smashing! And so avant-garde with the orange polish too. :-)

    1. Une Femme, I have received so many comments on the nail polish! lol Neon orange that is now faded to an acceptable color. About the color of day lilies...

  2. I love your new header - yellow is so underused, but so cheery! And that top and skirt make such a great pair with the sort of fragmented style. Great colors, too. You'd fit right in on the Cote d'Azur.

You asked about what job I would have liked to do, and the one I wish I had pursued was French translator/interpreter. I was pretty good with languages, loved French, and considered a two-year specialist course in Monterey, California, when I was about 19. But I was too unfocused to commit - I couldn't see the big picture. My biggest regret in life!

    1. Awww, Val but I feel your pain! My heart's desire lie in fashion design, and although back in the dark ages things were different as far as job opportunities, it remains my regret!

  3. Yes, me too, I love your header.
I don't "dress" for my regular outfit photos. I usually snap them when I get home so what I'm wearing is not quite as fresh as when I first put it on. But I do dress when I'm doing a specific project or exploration, and I'll mention that in my post. I like the fresh photos you post here, Paula. I agree with you - getting dressed sets the tone for the day.

    1. Thanks, Melanie!
I am snapping my photos after work too and I am not "fresh" either, but hey, that is reality. I used to snap them in the morning, but it was causing too much stress to get the photo right AND to get to work on time!

  4. Stunning outfit, love the print on print and the Yellow accent in your sandals. No, I don't get blogger pic ready, although I would not mind having a stylist just picking up on angles and blown away hair sometimes! Your pics are great!

  9. I take photos for my blog before I out or before work; sometimes after as well (and you can see it on my make up and on my face!). I never had just getting ready in the morning to take photos to post since most of my post are about my life events and I do also like to dress up as often as possible.

  10. I think this outfit is great and these colors look wonderful on you. You look great in a short skirt and loose top with your attractive sandals. Beautifully done!

  11. I love your outfit. It looks so fresh. You look smashing. And yes I am also one of those people who will dress even to get to the mailbox. I love all my clothes (well most of them anyway ;-) and I try to get the most out of it, and therefor dressing for the mailbox ;-) and your sandals are to die for!!! love them.

  12. This is such a great outfit, and both pieces are terrific on their own, too.
I don't dress for my blog, I dress for myself - unless there is some kind of challenge, but then usually I take the challenge as a chance to broaden my own dressing horizon - so, in a way, also then I am dressing for myself, exploring my clothes and their possibilities. Does this make sense?

  15. Really? You "dress" to go to the mailbox! lol Even I don't do that! I sometimes need a break from "dressing." Today I lazed around, cleaned out a couple of cupboards and didn't shower until 5:00. (my husband got out of work at 6:00 and out of respect I decided to shower. I too love getting dressed. But I also love being lazy and incognito. A baseball cap and shades is best on those days. LOVE your blog BTW :))
