Well, I could not have been happier when I saw the January issue of Lucky Mag! Bright colors and pattern mixing for an issue I will keep forever as an inspiration. And how appropriate with my last posts~
Although I must say, quite frankly, what they are touting--that florals and stripes are the easiest union--is the most difficult in my wardrobe. I don't know if its the stripes I choose, or the florals--haven't figured it out yet, but I will.
Meanwhile, here is another mix:
Not really a floral and a stripe--more like a graphic and a stripe. The fact that the scarf matches is just serendipitous! |
You look lovely in your blue pattern mix!
ReplyDeleteYOU! oh my gosh! thank you #1 for joining me. and thank you #2 for your encouraging words of camera helps and suggestions. things are improving. i think monday's post should be pretty good. so glad to be mutual fashion followers at our age. hahaha.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I could be of help! I'm glad to have found another friend!
DeleteYou look so cute! Love your mix. I have the new lucky too but I haven't had the time to crack it yet. After all the holiday madness is over I hope!
ReplyDeleteHi heather! Speaking of which I must stop by and say hi!
DeleteLove that mix of patterns. Something I normally wouldn't have considered but I really like it.
ReplyDeleteI think the mOre you try it out, the better it looks
DeleteI really, REALLY like that cover shot. I, in fact, have long been attracted to the pattern mix "thing".....Just can't quite carry it off to my satisfaction personally. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI think it's like an acquired taste really at first you are making faces and then you are liking it more and more!
DeleteI love pattern mixing but i'm not so sure about the outfit in the mag. Maybe the jacket is too busy??
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your pattern-mixed outfit!
Start out with small prints--it takes some getting used to but jump in!
DeleteLove your pattern mixing, but Lucky's not so much. I think stripes and florals are about the easiest to mix compared to anything else.
ReplyDeleteThe blue is so pretty on you.
I never thought so; as I said in my previous blog. To me, 2 graphic prints are so much easier--ie stripes/polka dots or houndstooth/ polka dots?
DeleteYour outfit here is a "WINNER"!! I cannot wear stripes or patterns of anykind without looking matronly. The only pattern that works for me is polka dots. Also large floral as well. Hmmm.....maybe I could try to mix those two patterns together?? I think all the mixing looks GREAT for editorial purposes as well.
ReplyDeleteWell or do mean crazy??? When I first tried it I thought someone would think I was the crazy ladyin town!try
ReplyDeleteYour style has so nicely evolved. You have a real talent in colors and pattern mixing. It makes me so happy to see your style and all the possibilities we have as we mature. Thanks for inspiring us.
