Snoopy and the Red Barron

When I was thinking of getting dressed this morn, I was inspired by this white silk scarf (which I had just recently bought) and a new pair of earrings (which I should have taken a close up of!)  I dressed myself around these 2 items!

My first attempt with the scarf came out looking a bit like Snoopy and the Red Barron, so I re-tied the scarf.  (see below)  I'm lovin' the shootie and the jean capri combo.  What I am not lovin' is this jean vest.  I dunno; its not just the combo of the jean stuff--something old lady about that vest.  It may end up in the recycle bin (was re-thrifted anyway).  This tee-shirt is actually fuscia, and I bought these in bulk from Target--they are a great length and serve me well.

How did you get inspired this morn?

  1. Without the vest I think the outfit is amazing. Everything else looks polished and pulled together, but the unfinished armholes pull the whole look down. I say, re-thrift the vest! (Love the shooties!)

  2. I think so too, Lauri. Maybe it is the unfinished armholes--and I thought I was being so cutting edge! (is that a pun? lol) Into the rethrift pile it goes!

  3. It's funny, but I have a jacket in the same faded denim and I've felt like a total slouch when I've worn it...only kept trying with it to see if "dressing it up" would correct the problem. Maybe it's me, but I think it's that lightish denim- needs to be jeans. (?) :)

  4. Lisa, yes, that denim color is FUNKY; I wonder if that is the problem......

  5. This is funny--YOU were my inspiration on Tuesday. You told me to use bolder, brighter colors--and obligingly, I did myself up in bright mustard.

I keep playing with my scarves, but haven't ventured out into the world with them.

  6. Thanks Terri! Glad I could be of help. I notice that you have said in some of your posts, that you get a lot of compliments when your wear that peach color--right?
