Weekly Inspiration

Because I only post weekly, I am changing my format a bit. I'm going to try and give you a couple of outfit shots for the week (thrills! lol) and share my weekly inspiration with you.  This inspiration may be a short video or a piece of artwork I have on my iphone from Pinterest; whatever has inspired me.

Now to the outfits: they had a theme for the week.  On the top, I opted for 3/4 length sleeve jackets--ah, yes, the weather is getting cooler here in NE!  In the middle, I went for a long skirt and capri jeans.  On my feet-- the thought of boots right now just makes me cry-- so instead I went for the shootie version, and let those toes hang out!

This was my inspiration for this week--my husband and I took a hike to the Plum Island Reserve.  It is a large estuary and cleared my head enough to prompt the following sketches!  It's great to reconnect with nature~

Can you spot some of the things I wore this week?

Oh, and I'll probably be posting Sunday evenings, but you never know!  I will probably always link up with Patti for Visible Monday.  Hope you enjoy the new format!  xoxo

  3. Fun to see the drawings of your outfits. I like the striped top with a tan skirt so much. Cute with the white wrap at the neckline. The place where you did the video looks amazing.

  5. Your pretty little mint green jacket reminds me so much of Marilyn Monroe. I feel much like you do...not wanting to let go of my open toed shoes. So nice you were able to enjoy the beautiful day and the waterfront.

  7. It is totally cool that you sketch your outfits...so much easier than what I do...drag tons of stuff out of my closet and try it all on.

    The island looks lovely.

I've been searching for a moto vest like the one you got. Very hip lady!

  12. The new format is fine with me who seems to only be able to manage one post a week. Of all the outfits, the mint green jacket is my favorite little bit. And yes, more of nature to inspire us.

  13. You're so lucky you can draw and sketch your outfits. Mine would come out looking so distorted that it really wouldn't help!

I love that yellow jacket with the faded jeans. And you're still wearing sandals - lucky you! Also lucky you got to walk on that lovely beach. Very inspirational.

  16. Paula, I must echo the others, love the sketches, what a fun idea. I'm totally head over heels in love with your long skirt and green stripe sweater outfit, in fact I think I'm going to closet shop and do a bit of copying of that one. Except I would most definitely need to borrow those awesome sandals. Great post!
