My Kate Spade Skirt

Have I told you about my new Kate Spade skirt I bought at Marshalls that I will wear to death?

I had made a vow  to buy a few quality items this season.  How can I TELL if an item is quality or not?

One tip-off was the french seams.  Then the silk/cotton fabric;  the lace on the hem.  I was smitten.  ( Did anyone see the episode of Project Runway in which there was a BIG discussion of "french seams?  See link of how to here.)

Oh, and Hello to all my friends and Patti over at Visible Monday!  I'm BACK!

  1. I like the colors, I think it will go with a lot of different things.

If I ever find a Size 4 (!) skirt that I fit into I'm going to buy it no matter what color it is :)

  12. Polka dots, what can i say? Count me in. French seams? I learned all about them on the Great British Sewing Bee. I feel so glam being able to chat about French seams. Thanks for pointing them out.
Honestly, that skirt is going to take you places!

  24. Hi Paula, I'm glad to see you! I was just looking for your blog the other day when I was putting my blog roll back together (it disappeared after I moved to a domain name). I'm adding it right now. How are you? I was thinking of you so much after the Boston Marathon bombing, I hope you felt the love! The punk exhibit had some really beautiful clothes, isn't that funny? Thank God, because I am not into the wrecked clothes thing. Just not my scene. I want to see couture! I hope you will think about joining Adrienne and me for the June "How I Wear My" post. We are doing florals! XO, Jill
