Almost every season it seems, I am searching for a denim skirt.
I found this one the other day at Marshall's; it's my favorite shape, "A" line & above the knee. AND it doesn't have a front fly, which tends to exaggerate my menopausal belly. (Does anyone else have this problem?)
I did sew a small strip of velco in between the top buttons, so it doesn't gap.
Can you tell I was taking these pics with my Iphone???
A good denim skirt is a must in our wardrobe...this one looks like a good fit, Paula!!
ReplyDeleteI am so in agreement - about the denim skirt and the front fly thing! I love this outfit :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, I have a few of them including one I made from a pair of jeans, love denim skirts!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy all the blues hues and a good denim skirt is always on season and it can be very versatile.
ReplyDeleteI love denim skirts!
ReplyDeleteI had a tummy even before menopause, so it is good to have sleeker line. What a good tip about putting velcro between the buttons! It seems so obvious now, but I never thought of it before!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the zip-front to buttons up the front. I don't like it when I sit down and the skirt is open. My favorite denim skirt is from Ann Klien, is waistband-less and has a side zip.
ReplyDeleteI find that bike shorts or a coulotte-slip helps with the zip-front skirt, keeps everything slippery.
Love the skirt!! i know I searched high and low for one that did NOT have a "jeans" top and wasn't super heavy. Finally found one at the thrift and wore it earlier this week.
ReplyDeleteI'd still love to find a boho-gypsy type in a light denim!
Great skirt and I also love your hair in the last photo. I have one denim skirt, which I don't wear very often. Your post has inspired me to pull it out of the closet.
ReplyDeleteMe too me too! I'm always on the hunt for another great denim skirt. Just found an a-line ,yes elf at a local thrift store. Love yours! So cute.
ReplyDeletePerfect skirt! I love Marshalls. As much as I thrift, once in a while I search for the perfect re-mixing item, usually a blouse or jacket, at Marshalls. Love all the blues!
ReplyDeleteI have a short torso, too, so zips and buttons up the front accentuate the puddle of fat that lives on my abdomen. Side zips rule.
