~Outfit Thoughts~
Very high-waisted skirt that is accentuated with the short jacket--whadaya think? I haven't found my where my new menopausal waist is.....things creep up and things creep down....
I'm worried I may look like one of those women with their waist under their boobs....lol
You are so funny...you don't look that way at all and I wish I had your waist!! You look great in short jackets!
ReplyDeleteYou've shown a challenge. The short jacket doesn't have room for a belt and the pleated skirt can't take more at the waist without adding inches.
ReplyDeleteI have so many friends who've given up on waisted garmets, it is a challenge. But some kind of waist, dip in the middle is flattering.
You look very cute in the short jacket!
ReplyDeleteI've never had much of a waist, (no room between my bottom rib and top of hipbone) gave up trying to belt anything long ago. I like tops that flare out over the hips, give the impression of a waist without being too literal about it.
;-)
I'm laughing at your image of the waistless, heavily boobed older lady. You do NOT look like that. I think the short jacket is slim enough so that it creates/shows the waist. You look great!
ReplyDeletePaula, I don't know of anyone that has worn that green and not looked great in it...such a flattering color! I can definitely see your waist! Hugs! ~Serene
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is pretty. It reminds me a bit of the one in the previous post - paisleys and color!
ReplyDeleteHi Paula, you look fabulous, it looks to me like you have a waist, very flattering shape. I don't think you need to worry about creating illusions, but do love the short jacket.
ReplyDeleteCute look!

I can still tell you have a lovely form! And that jacket is a fab color on you : >
ReplyDeleteYou have an enviable figure and you look fab in this outfit.
ReplyDeleteYou look wonderful--whatever is "creeping" it certainly is landing in the right spots.
ReplyDeleteMe, however, am defying gravity these days. My butts getting smaller and my boobs bigger.....
I love short jackets like this. I'm having similar problems--not that I don't have a waist, it is just feeling increasingly, uh, thick. I'm hoping that it is just the 5 lbs of winter weight I'm packing around and that it will disappear by spring.
ReplyDeleteIt is all about proportions and i think it is right to do the short jacket and the highwaist skirt
ReplyDeleteI love your mix of colors very pretty on you

Love the green jacket and you look fabulous to me. Looks good with the high waisted skirt!
ReplyDeletePaula, You have made me laugh, all I can say is wait until you are 60. My waist was always my smallest body part, but now my bosoms take top honor, so no hanging down to my waist. You look great in this bright outfit and if Style Crone says you look fabulous--YOU DO-- all you need is a hat :)!! Kathy H
ReplyDeleteDo you have a deck and you look great...I greet...
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable as always. I have one very cute cropped jacket, but nothing that falls at the waist. I do have a sweater like that but I have a hard time knowing what to pair with it. I think a full skirt with a defined waist is perfect.
ReplyDeleteLove your new blog look. The header is really cute. It's nice to se more of you when clicking on the blog. I hope 2012 brings lots of great things your way. Looking forward to lots of new outfit posts and thrifted style.

You can find the Burka dresses in many different places, but you will find that many times you will have to pay a bit more for the burka dresses because of their popularity.
