The Deep V Problem

Is anyone else out there having trouble with the plunging necklines on ALL tops lately? It's hard for so many us over fifty to expose so much of our cleavage! I have a couple of solutions--

Shown here (I know its a wierd photo but bear with me!) is one of those bralets--its nice and thin and I wear it OVER my bra. Less complicated than a camisole. Also, Newport News has a bra with a built in lace insert http://http://www.newport-news.com/shop/product_single.aspx?style_id=15355273&index=15&gp_coll_id=9&gp_cat_id=1649&nav_cat_id=3169&category_id=7689

Oh, and Cache has a lace insert that you fasten to your bra.

I sacrificed a few bras and added an insert myself!

The Neon Look

I have been just dying to do the neon look again! Got the inspiration from Lucky Mag (again) and just managed to finally find a neon t-shirt, 3/4 length sleeve (to hide bingo arms) in Vicotria's secret catalog. It's just a modern update to a jean skirt, although I know a lot of women CAN'T wear this color--but maybe just a flourish--
Do we all remember the neon of yester-year? There were three; the orange, green and yellow. I could never choose! I think one year I had a bikini in each color!

The Cargo Thing

See what you think! This outfit was from my inspiration board from Lucky Magazine

July 2010. I like to try and adapt the styles in Lucky to the over 50 set. This was about cargo skirts and t-shirts http://luckymag.com/style/howto/styling/2010/07/cargo_skirts.

I lengthened the skirt a bit--they recommended mid thigh! The shirt was a great find at Victoria's Secret and I could belt it. I left out the lux accessories THIS time, but could certainly dress it up if need be. I don't think it looks too young......but still modern.
Cargo pants are just TOO young--don't you think? This is a great alternative!

Bathing suits, PART 2

In response to fashion-over-fifty.com, I got daring (!) and actually took this photo of my (hopeful) success with the bathing suit skirt I suggested on her website. I feel confident enough to recommend it to friends, and advise them best places to buy. Sorry about the headless photo, but will leave that out for now!
